To get started with itstheseason.xyz you will need to take these steps:

* Fund your embedded wallet account with **0.06ETH + the value you're willing to play with. Make sure to send on MegaETH mainnet.**

#### 1. What is ITS?

ITS is a card-based game by [@megatruther](https://x.com/@megatruther) on MegaETH where:

* Players mint **booster packs (NFTs)**
* Open(burn) them to receive **cards (also NFTs)**
* Use play(burn) cards to affect the game
* Compete for an **epoch pot.**

#### 2. How do I get started?

* Sign up at <https://itstheseason.xyz/>
* Fund your ITS embedded wallet with ETH (on MegaETH)
* Mint or buy booster packs
* Open packs → get cards
* Play cards to earn points
* Keep a small ETH balance (\~0.006) for gas
* Aim for the Top 20 on the leaderboard or compete for King of the Hill
* Repeat each epoch

#### 3. What's the goal of the game?

Each epoch, the Top 20 players on the leaderboard split the majority of the reward pool. A separate portion goes to the King of the Hill (KOTH) – the player who spends the most time at rank #1.

#### 4. How long is an epoch?

Epoch length is variable and can change between 20hours and 5 minutes. Join the telegram to stay informed&#x20;

#### 5. How do booster packs work?

* 1 pack = 1 NFT.
* **Mint a pack** – the base mint price starts at \~0.001 ETH and **increases slightly (\~$0.01) for the next buyer**. Pack prices are “up only” during minting.
* **Open a pack** – the pack NFT is **burned**, and you receive **5 random cards** (random rarity, random card type).

#### 6. What rarity do cards have

Cards come in 4 rarities:

* Common
* Rare
* Epic
* Legendary

Higher rarity cards give stronger effects (more points stolen, added, or reflected).

#### 7. Do unused cards disappear after an epoch?

No. Any cards you haven’t played at the end of an epoch **carry over** to the next epoch. Points reset each epoch.

#### 8. How does the leaderboard work?

* **points** are shown at the top left of the interface.
* You gain points by playing cards.
* The leaderboard ranks players by total points earned in the current epoch.
* At the epoch’s end, the **Top 20 players** and the **KOTH** split the reward pool.

#### 9. Do I need ETH to play?

Yes, you need a small amount of ETH in your embedded wallet to pay for gas when playing cards. Keep a buffer of \~0.006 ETH – the gas fees are minimal, but this ensures reliable transactions. The ETH is not spent on the game itself, only on network fees.

#### 10. How to play the Reflect card?

Reflect cards are autoplayed cards that send an incoming Aggression or Redistribution attack back to the attacker. The attacker suffers the effect instead of you. Chaos and Destruction attacks cannot be reflected. You also can’t reflect your attacks on yourself. See the image below for where to find the reflect cards.

Click on your username at the top right, then click “Epoch” You should be able to claim winnings for every epoch you finished in the top 20, else it’ll show as KOTH
